Monto Caravan and Cabin Park
Gateway to Cania Gorge
The town of Monto lies 200 km west of Bundaberg and is home to a wide variety of historic, cultural and artistic experiences in the North Burnett. The quiet and leafy Monto Caravan & Cabin Park is set on a well maintained 5.5 acres with a country feel and country hospitality, located close to town.
Our sites are very spacious and well kept and we offer powered, and unpowered sites, RV friendly sites, and campsites. We also provide a range of cabins to suit a variety of needs and budgets.
We are extremely proud to have our amenities described by many travellers as ‘the cleanest they have come across…a credit to us’. Cool down in our shaded, in-ground pool, or relax by the fire pit and meet other travellers. We welcome all travellers and their well behaved pets.
We are only 12 kms from the Cania Gorge National Park where you can experience rainforest walks, sandstone cliffs and more.

Things To Do
Cania Gorge is one of Queensland's most picturesque gorges. The National Park in which it sits boasts prominent sandstone cliffs, caves, spectacular landscape, and eucalypt forest. The park is home to more than 90 species of birds, and a wide variety of flora and fauna. Enjoy bush walking, bird watching, fishing, or if you’re feeling more adventurous, enjoy water sports such as skiing or kayaking on Lake Cania.
Another must see & do and only a short drive from Monto is the ‘Boyne Burnett Inland Rail Trail’. Take in some of the most picturesque landscapes as you walk or ride through six railway tunnels that can be best described as architectural wonders. Take a tour with a local business ‘PacksNPedals’ for a shuttle to the trail and bike hire (E bikes too!)
If you feel like staying local, there is plenty to do in Monto. The Monto Historical Society & Cultural Centre is right next door to our park and is well worth a visit. Take a wander through the town, browse the shops and enjoy a cuppa at one of the cafes.
Take a swing on the golf course, or visit the Bowls Club or RSL club. Monto has two local pubs where you can enjoy some good tukka and country hospitality, or make the short trip south to Mulgildie Hotel for a great counter lunch.
Make sure you stock up on quality meat whilst visiting Monto, we are after all in the heart of Beef Country.
